Wanna hear one of my biggest mistakes?

It’s when I wrote my books Town, Inc and Brandscaping.

I know what you’re thinking…

“Don’t all of the best speakers have books to build their credibility so they can win more gigs?”

Well, yes.  And, no.

It may seem like so many speakers have best-selling books, but it’s worth it to look more closely at the stats.

First off, many of these books (like mine) are self-published.  According to a cross-section of reports, 90% of self-published books sell fewer than 100 copies.  The average self-published book only sells 250 copies.

Then, 33% of self-published authors make less than $500 per year off of their books while 20% say they make absolutely no money at all!

Only 3,600 to 6,000 self-published books on Amazon earn more than $1,000 each month … and those are very big outliers.

📖
The bottom line? Speaker books are just NOT revenue generators when it comes to sales.

So, why does it make sense to write a book?  And what did I do wrong when I wrote mine?

Let me explain…
