“Would you like to be spotlighted in the email inbox of 10,000+ meeting planners?”
(Yes, please!)
It’s another edition of “Worth It or Walk Away” – where we try one of those tempting promotional offers you often receive in your inbox.
This particular service is from the MarketAPeel Agency. It’s an email introduction service that promises to connect speakers with eager-to-hire event planners using a proven system.
Honestly, I understand why this type of service would make the average speaker drool in anticipation of more gigs. We speakers have this constant challenge of keeping our calendars full.
(I know you feel my pain.)
It’s not uncommon to look six months ahead and worry...
“Hmm… will I manage to find events to fill all these empty slots?”
Talk about stress.
The MarketAPeel offer, run by Shannon Peel, (MarketAPeel… get it? So clever!) promises to connect you via email with immediate access to decision makers.
Does it work? Well, Rachael and I decided to give it a try!
Here’s what we found out…

Atlantic Fire Leadership Conference
The conference committee is looking for the best speakers, with a focus on Leading Through A Changing World, to make this an event to remember. The call for speakers includes invitations for 45-minute workshops, 1-hour keynote or plenary sessions, 30 minute break out talks, and 15-minute “lightening” talks. Please note that this includes time for questions.
Submissions are due January 10, 2025. Apply: [LINK]

Screenshots of the email I received.
First, I need to state the obvious. MarketAPeel sends out a great email like this every week that lists three or four REAL events that are looking for speakers.
So, that’s pretty awesome, right? She’s providing immediate value while still promoting her program.
Color me “interested.”
The Promise of MarketAPeel
When you sign up to the program, you are promised the following:
