“That speaker constantly goes over their time so we decided against them…”

I once heard this from an event organizer after referring a speaker for their event.

It’s someone who I had referred many times in the past… and they’d always delivered.  But one particular organizer decided to do a little checking around.

That’s when they learned the speaker often gets booked for a 45-minute speech… ends up going way over time… and messes up the day’s entire agenda.

Hmm… sounds like this speaker has a problem with reliable delivery.

⏱️
Regularly going over time signals that you don’t have a firm grasp on the pacing of your speech. Event organizers need speakers who can stick to their allotted time, as a delayed morning keynote can throw off the entire schedule for the day.

The fix?  It’s simple… rehearsal.

Today, we’re going to look at why rehearsing your speech is crucial to higher fees and more business.
